Riverside Earns Top Honor for Workplace Mental Health
When it comes to mental health, Riverside recognizes the importance of supporting its employees through the challenges healthcare can bring. Mental Health America recently awarded Riverside the Platinum Bell Seal for the organization’s commitment to employee mental health.
“We strive to promote the physical well-being of our employees and also their mental well-being. Through our employee support program, ‘Well in Mind,’ we provide mental health services for our staff so they can continue providing outstanding patient care to our community,” said Phil Kambic, Riverside President and CEO.
“Well in Mind,” Riverside’s employee assistance program, is a free and confidential support service provided by Riverside Healthcare to its employees and their household members. The program focuses on support, prevention, and a mindful mental health and well-being approach.
Employee assistance programs like “Well in Mind” are especially important in health care as doctors, nurses, and staff members face emotionally challenging daily situations.
“Our team of counselors understands the demands that working in healthcare can bring, and we know how important it is for Riverside employees to have access to help when they need it,” said Kristin Bell, “Well in Mind” Program Coordinator.
