2022 Walk to End Alz

Join Team Riverside in The Walk to End Alzheimer’s Saturday September 17th. Together, we’ll walk and raise funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. And together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.

Get ready for an inspiring and safe Walk day with the information below.

Parking and Walk route information:
The Walk will be located at Kankakee Community College and the route is about a mile long.

Parking is available in the lots adjacent to the event site.

Event schedule:
Venue Open & Start of Festivities: 8:30am

Promise Garden Ceremony: 9:30am

Walk Day FAQ:

All participants should register prior to Walk day at alz.org/walk.
All children must be registered.
Strollers, wheelchairs and wagons are welcome.
The Walk route and festivities are outdoors — please plan accordingly.
Donations will be taken on Walk day via mobile payment and cash/check dropbox.
Be sure to wear your purple and carry your Walk flags! Take a selfie or photo of your team and post on social media using #Walk2EndALZ and #ENDALZ.

T-Shirt Orders for The Walk To End Alzheimer’s

Cash Only. Please turn in your t-shirt order and cash to Drew Weaver located in Westwood Trails Assisted Living. Orders will be taken for the Bourbonnais Campus at the Kickoff Event located in the Bourbonnais Grove Assisted Living and Memory Care parking lot. All orders are must be turned in by September 1st. Proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Fallen soldiers honored by torch ride to Arlington

The son of Kris Hemp, a member of the Riverside Heart & Vascular staff, was honored at the 13th annual Tribute to Fallen Soldiers Memorial Torch Motorcycle Ride.

A name not forgotten.

This was the intent of an honorary stop in Chebanse to recognize Army Spc. Grant Yohnka as part of the 13th annual Tribute to Fallen Soldiers Memorial Torch Motorcycle Ride on Thursday.

The annual ride begins in Eugene, Ore., each summer and takes a different cross-country route to Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va., stopping along the way to honor 68 fallen heroes in each of their hometowns.

Join Us for the 2022 Bourbonnais Friendship Festival Parade!

Represent Riverside at the 2022 Bourbonnais Friendship Festival Parade!

Date: Sunday, June 26

Time: Line-up time coming soon

The first 50 employees to sign up for the parade get a limited edition Riverside t-shirt to wear at the parade!

This year we will not have a float, but we invite you to decorate a wagon or stroller to this year’s parade theme “Unplug, Connect Game on 2022” – a family board game theme.

If you decorate your wagon or stroller for the parade, you will receive a Riverside bucket hat.

Shirts are for Riverside Employees Only. You may pick up your shirt in the Pavilion Lobby on Thursday, June 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

If you cannot pick up your shirt during this time, please contact Gabby Cinnamon at ext. 46503 or [email protected] to schedule a time to pick up your shirt in the marketing office.

Shirts will NOT be interoffice mailed.

If you cannot pick up your shirt before the parade, we will bring all extra shirts to the parade so no need to worry!

Shirts are unisex sizing.
