At 11:30 a.m. Thursday, January 16, a Kankakee County Chamber of Commerce Women in Networking event will feature guest speaker Tierra Dixon-Sullivan, Riverside Healthcare’s DEI Coordinator, as she speaks on Lifting As We Climb: Advancing Together Through DEI.
The event, presented by Riverside Healthcare, will be held at Adventure Commons, 70 Ken Hayes Drive, Bourbonnais, and will include lunch. The cost is $20 for chamber members or $60 for prospective members.
In its 18th year, the Santa’s Sleigh project at Riverside provides Christmas gifts for area families in need. What started with 12 families has now grown to 52 families.
“It’s a way we can give back to the community,” said Riverside Community Liaison Nancy Moore, who oversees this project every year.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, December 31, the American Red Cross will host the final blood drive of the year at Riverside Healthcare (Johnson Lecture Hall). Appointments are needed and are available by logging into www.redcrossblood.org or calling Alison Paglin at 815-935-7535 ext. 31825.

On December 19, Riverside leaders, providers and staff were joined by Coal City Mayor David Spesia and members of the Grundy County Chamber of Commerce to cut the ribbon on the new wing of the Riverside Coal City Campus. The new space — featuring exam rooms, a pharmacy, and chemotherapy bays — will offer new and expanded services in Coal City including physical therapy and cancer care.
