Dr. Almeida Presents at 2025 ISCHR Conference

Dr. Almeida participated in the Illinois Society for Cardiopulmonary Health and Rehabilitation 2025 Conference speaking on the Role of Endobronchial Valves in COPD at Riverside Healthcare. She led a very engaging conversation with over 100 pulmonary rehabilitation professionals across the state. Earlier in the week, Amy Hornbuckle RN, BSN Clinical Nurse Manager, participated in Day on the Hill (DOTH), advocating for better access to care for the cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation patient populations. Both opportunities were a great way to kick off Pulmonary Rehabilitation Week!

Home is where the Heart is

In honor of heart month The Cardiac and Neuro Diagnostic department hosted a family night for staff and their loved ones.

This was a fantastic opportunity to bring their loved ones in to experience the Diagnostic Department firsthand.

Families had the chance to meet the amazing team members they work closely with, learn more about the vital work they do, and see the positive impact the team makes on patients’ lives every day.

“It was also a great chance for everyone to connect outside of the usual work day and enjoy some fun together,” said Sarah O’Connor.

“The team was eager to share their passion for their roles and showcase the innovative and rewarding aspects of working in the greatest field of medicine…….Cardiology.”

    Happy Heart Month!
