On the second anniversary of the WHO declaring COVID-19 a worldwide pandemic, Riverside Healthcare gathered on the walking bridge over the river to commemorate the 208 patients lost at Riverside from COVID-19. The ceremony included prayers and the release of flowers, signifying a step forward in the healing process.
The hospital and Riverside Orthopedic and Spine Center were illuminated violet to symbolize hope and closure for those who have lost someone too soon.

March is Women’s History Month! Join us Tuesday March 8th on International Women’s Day as we celebrate the women who have shaped healthcare at Riverside and beyond! There will be a table setup with giveaways and goodies between 10am and 12pm in the Pavilion.
Riverside Health Fitness Center is hosting a practical self-defense class for members and non-members at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 12.
Cost: $5 for members and $15 for non-members
The seminar will emphasize the need to avoid violence whenever possible, address ways to de-escalate a situation, and when necessary, how to defend yourself. Attendees will learn basic defenses against common attacks.

Riverside’s RX Mobile Food Pantry served over 100 families in our community last week in sub zero temperatures with volunteers from RMG Leadership, ONU, and Bishop McNamara. Shout out to the facilities and grounds crew that helped to setup tents and heaters in order to make this possible. Great job to all involved!
The Riverside RX Mobile Food Pantry offers fresh and nutritious food once a month from 3 to 5 p.m. at Youth For Christ City Life Center, located at 1820 E. Court Street in Kankakee.
