Family Fun Day
Thank you to all the Riverside employees and families who joined us for Family Fun Day on May 18! With over 200 people enjoying the bounce house, mini golf, and kickball, it was a day filled with laughter and joy. A special shoutout to Education for their impressive victory in the kickball competition! Your participation made the day truly memorable. Looking forward to more fun events in the future!
Mental Health Fair
Thank you to everyone who came out to the Mental Health Fair at the Atrium as we celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month. Area mental health resources gathered in the Atrium parking lot to showcase the various services available in our community.
Celebrating Riverside Employee Years of Service
Riverside employees who have been a part of the team for ten or more years were celebrated at the Employee Recognition dinner at the Kankakee County Fair Grounds on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.
The Daily Journal ad, pictured below and found in the May 18th weekend edition of the paper, features the names of the employees where recognized at the dinner.
Home Health Career Day at Bradley East
Home Health participated in Career Day at Bradley East on Friday, May 10. Peggy Regas, Heather Moslener, and Meghan Doud provided a great opportunity to showcase Riverside Medical Center and the services we provide in Home Health. Students were able to participate in hands on activities, which included compression wrapping of arms and legs, listening to heart and lungs with stethoscopes, hand washing techniques and thera-band exercises.
Daily Journal Progress Awards 2024
Riverside Heart & Vascular Institute was selected as Innovator in Healthcare for the Daily Journal’s 2024 Progress Awards. The team was recognized for bringing the latest technology and the most advanced procedures to the community to improve and save lives. The institute specializes in a wide array of clinical program areas including interventional cardiology, vascular surgery, cardiac-oncology, heart failure, electrophysiology, cardiovascular surgery, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and diagnostic services, as well as maintaining a graduate medical education program and research programs. The Heart & Vascular team is proud of this accomplishment and ability to offer these high quality services close to home for our community.
