Nine dedicated Riverside nurses had the incredible opportunity to attend Nurses Day at the Illinois State Capitol, where we joined fellow nurses from across the state to advocate for legislation that impacts our profession and our patients.
Numerous Riverside Healthcare providers participated in “Let’s Talk Health,” a healthcare program hosted by the Kankakee Chapter NAACP on March 22.
Riverside Healthcare was joined Thursday by the Manteno Chamber of Commerce for a ribbon-cutting event at Riverside Physical Therapy in Manteno. The space is located at 1 E. Division Street – Manteno, IL 60950.
Dr. Almeida participated in the Illinois Society for Cardiopulmonary Health and Rehabilitation 2025 Conference speaking on the Role of Endobronchial Valves in COPD at Riverside Healthcare. She led a very engaging conversation with over 100 pulmonary rehabilitation professionals across the state. Earlier in the week, Amy Hornbuckle RN, BSN Clinical Nurse Manager, participated in Day on the Hill (DOTH), advocating for better access to care for the cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation patient populations. Both opportunities were a great way to kick off Pulmonary Rehabilitation Week!
