PCD providing Christmas gifts for kids

The PCD department has Christmas presents wrapped under the tree with a bear, coloring pages and crayons to give to the kids that check in. They are setting the gift on the carts prior to check in for the kids. One of the nurses, Stephanie Bishop, thought of the idea and brought it to life.

Pledge forms available for United Way campaign

Pledge forms are available to participate in the campaign for United Way of Kankakee & Iroquois Counties. Please return completed forms to Nancy Moore at [email protected] and she will submit them (a new form needs to be completed each year). There will be a raffle drawing on 11/22 and 11/27 for United Way shirts and sweatshirts for those who have already turned in their forms. Nancy will contact the winners.

Highlights from United Way of Kankakee & Iroquois Counties’ 2024 Impact Report:
– 99 cents of every $1 donated stays in Kankakee/Iroquois counties
– Riverside is in the Top 5 businesses for employee contributions
– A total of 65 local businesses contribute

The application form and information packet for Riverside Young Professionals 2025-2026 (Cohort 8) is now available. Click the link below to download the form.

Applications must be submitted to the Organizational Development & Learning Department no later than: December 6, 2024

Purpose: Riverside Young Professionals (RYP) is a voluntary group intended to provide up to 25 selected Riverside employees with exclusive and unique Riverside leadership development opportunities designed to provide a deep view of Riverside Healthcare, access to Riverside Senior Management, opportunities to network with other Riverside team members with similar interests, and participate in community service. This program meets one evening per month, starting in January 2025 and ending in June 2026.

Home Health Career Day at Bradley East

Home Health participated in Career Day at Bradley East on Friday, May 10. Peggy Regas, Heather Moslener, and Meghan Doud provided a great opportunity to showcase Riverside Medical Center and the services we provide in Home Health. Students were able to participate in hands on activities, which included compression wrapping of arms and legs, listening to heart and lungs with stethoscopes, hand washing techniques and thera-band exercises.
