It’s New. It’s Awesome. The new HeartCode BLS CPR is HERE at Riverside!
All new at Riverside is the new and improved rQI HeartCode® BLS. HeartCode is an official AHA program that blends online self-directed learning and hands-on testing using voice-assisted manikins. The online training, completed in OLIE, is updated to the most current CPR guidelines. The course allows you to choose your own adventure, respecting your CPR expertise. You can choose Novice to Expert, and the training adapts to you.
The hands-on skills portion is on a brand-new skills station and it’s vastly improved from the previous station. It gives better feedback than ever to help make sure your skills are where they need to be to help save a life. Upon completion of the skills and a short evaluation, your new official AHA BLS CPR e-card good for two years is immediately available to you in OLIE.
Our new skills stations are available in B307 at Riverside Medical Center 24-7 (sign posted on door if class in session in the room) and at Riverside’s ODL Department Monday thru Friday at KCC’s North Extension Center on Kinzie in Bradley.
Also new this year is a travelling skills station. Have a team of staff at an offsite location needing BLS CPR?
Contact ODL to reserve the station to come to your team for up to a week.
To get started—any Riverside employee may log into OLIE and search for: Heartcode
For more information, contact ODL at 22701 or 815-935-3276.
We love our new HeartCode and believe you will too!
