We are pleased to celebrate our recent Butterfly Award Winner, Medical Assistant at our Cancer Treatment Center, Jamilah C. The Butterfly Award acknowledges outstanding CNAs/Techs for their remarkable impact on patient lives, reflecting Riverside’s Nursing Mission and commitment to patient-centered care.

Her nomination read: “Medical Assistant / CNA Extraordinaire, Jamilah, is such a gentle force when it comes to patient care, as well as representing clinical staff at CTC. She takes her job seriously but also has a wonderful sense of humor. These two combined qualities equate to the ultimate trait in a caregiver: empathy. One could easily sense that Jamilah is a natural empath and utilizes that trait to ensure patients at the Cancer Treatment Center begin each visit with care, understanding, and a sense of being seen. Jamilah also exemplifies these qualities as a colleague. She is family-oriented and has shared that special piece of her with us as staff, including us in her life as extended family. She is an amazing woman, continuing her education and demonstrating grace through the process. Jamilah is not just a Butterfly nominee, she is THE Butterfly.”
