In Memory of Priscilla Wegrzyn

Priscilla Wegrzyn Age 37, of Crete, Illinois passed away on February 12, 2025.  Beloved daughter of Richard and the late Elizabeth (Nee Iwanus) Wegrzyn.  Loving sister of Tatiana (Frank) Worrell and Stepsister of Malissa Pancrazio.  Cherished best friend of Jessica and Ashley.  Cousin to many.  She loved her cats Bailey, Nanny and Bernard.

Priscilla had a great love for animals.  She was a certified Veterinary Technician from 2013 to 2019 and practiced around the Chicagoland area.  She worked at 3 different locations.  Her passion for animals could often be seen in her Facebook posts, looking for help for a recent stray or rescue. She loved her fur babies Bailey, Nanny and Bernard.

Priscilla left animal medicine to pursue her career in Human Medicine Management.  In 2019 she graduated from Governor’s state with her Bachelors of Healthcare graduating with honors. She did not stop there.  In 2022 she obtained her Masters of Healthcare from Governors state. She had a passion for her education.  One of her employees said “She was a strong soul.”

She had her first interaction with RMG while completing her Bachelors Degree.  Her first internship with the RMG was from August 2019-December 2019 while working towards her bachelors. In January 2022 she joined Deena Layton’s team in quality improvement.  Deena said she was always eager to learn new things and she took quite an interest in the quality measures of RMG.  While Priscilla was working towards her Masters, she joined the float pool as a CA where she continued to work until April 2023. It was during her time as a CA that she excelled with her knowledge of Epic.

Tess from Internal Med K3 says, “she knew her Epic processes so well, that we could always rely on her to get us unstuck.”

“Priscilla was always up for the challenge of taking on more responsibilities to help new site supervisors and train them,” according to Taylor, Central Market Manager.

In April of 2023 she accepted the role of Site Supervisor for Internal Medicine Kankakee.  One of her employees said, “she was always supportive and never pointed a finger if we goofed up.”

Nancy from women’s health says, “she was always willing to help.”

Laura L said, “She was always friendly and helpful, especially when it came to helping with staffing in other clinics.”

Priscilla had a heart of gold, that was as big as Kankakee.  That was evident this past year with Santa’s Sleigh. Her excitement as she purchased one more toy, and one more outfit for the family she was helping was proof that she was a kid at heart.  When her items were picked up for the family, they filled an SUV.  She said “I can not imagine not having a Christmas gift to open, so I am going to make sure they have a lot to open.”  Priscilla’s big heart extended to her employees; she often brought her staff little pick me ups when things were challenging.  She loved to celebrate birthdays and holidays with her staff. Dilly Bars from Dairy Queen were her favorite.

“Priscilla will be missed not only by her providers and staff but by the RMG family,”  Julie, Operational Director Central Market.

Priscilla will be included in Riverside’s Memorial Service that recognizes patients and employees that have passed during the previous six months on April 27th at 3pm in the back of the Cafeteria. Anyone is welcome to attend.
