Attackers often use deceptive emails, messages, or websites to lure victims into providing their personal data, leading to identity theft and financial loss. 92% of Cyberattacks include some form of social engineering (Phishing) How to tell if you’ve received a Phishing email: • The email is generic and does not address a specific user. • Spelling and grammar: Poor grammar, spelling errors, or an awkward sentence structure. • Suspicious URL: When hovering your mouse over the link the URL does not match the sender or is a bunch of different characters that do not make sense. • Sense of urgency: The attackers want you to interact with the email as quick as possible. |
